Site Info
• Welcome to Solo Speedway Stats, the flagship for MotoSpeedway.net.
We are all about the exciting sport of Speedway motorcycle racing and nothing else. Our sole purpose is to publish the results of Solo Speedway races from across the planet, all in one convenient location.
This site concentrates on the Solo (individual) version of the sport and won’t be posting any team results. This is partly personal interest (not much team racing over here in North America) plus there are several excellent sites that already have the team sport well covered. Besides, just doing the individuals will keep me busy enough.
I plan on doing regular updates but I’m not setting any deadlines. That will allow me to work at it when time and interest permit without allowing it to grow into a monster and take over my life. That’s exactly what happened when I did a sprint car site for several years. This time I’m prepared!!
Hope you enjoy your time here and please be sure to come back often.

• If you are not familiar with the sport please go to the Speedway FAQ site.
It does a really good job of explaining the rules and regulations and has a lot of general info about all aspects of the sport. Everything you need to know, all in one place. It will help you understand the nuances of the sport and also the score sheets on this site.
……
• About the Score Sheets:
My mandate is to post as much detail as possible in all score sheets. Realistically, the amount of info I can find plus time to process it will determine the number of pages with full sheets. I hope to have all the SGP, International, European and National Finals completely detailed. Other support races and important regional events will also have full sheets whenever possible.
Full sheets have complete lineup, point scores, and finals (if run) plus detail for each heat including start gate, exclusions, falls etc. where available.
The partial sheets usually have lineups, heat points, and finals (if held) but no heats. I use these when I don’t have complete heat details or when it’s too time consuming to get everything translated and assembled for my templates.
With numerous languages involved (and me being fluent in English only) there will likely be a few errors. If you see any, please email me the details at; [motospeedway(at)yahoo(dot)ca]. I will try to verify it and post an update.
……
• Below are the abbreviations used for the heat details:
They are pretty close to the standard used by many sanctioning bodies and media outlets.
f - fell
fx - fell, excluded
m - two minute exclusion
t - excluded for touching the tape
x - excluded
ef - engine failure
r - retired
n - no ride
w - withdrawn
These are posted in the white cell to the left of the colored cell that contains the gate details (rider name and gate color).
Example 1; an r in the cell left of a gate means the scheduled rider retired from the race.
Example 2; fx indicates that the scheduled rider fell and was excluded but the race was not restarted.
Example 3; 8fx means that rider 8 in the lineup fell and was excluded. When the race is restarted the reserve is then listed as the rider for that gate. Please note that the lineup # is not necessarily the same as the assigned rider # (like in the GP’s for example). This site always uses the rider lineup number.
